High school sweethearts Gordon (94) and Norma Yeager (90) were married for 72 years. Last week, they passed within an hour of each other while holding hands.
According to their son, they had been in a car accident that put them both in intensive care. Nurses kept them together at the hospital, and when Gordon passed, his heart monitor still registered a heartbeat from his wife as she held his hand. She passed away within the hour. They were buried in a casket, still holding hands.
Their daughter said, “Neither one of them would’ve wanted to be without each other…we were very blessed, honestly, that they went this way.”
